Dimitar Berbatov - A song for you!

Spurs' Bulgarian striker Dimitar Berbatov is not concerned that the fans do not sing his name - because he says it's too much of a tongue-twister. 'It's probably because my name is too difficult for them to fit into a song,' said Berbatov. 'Even when I played for Bayer Leverkusen in Germany, the fans did not have a song for me.'

Well obviously Dimitar underestimates the Tottenham faithfull. I think it's high time we got a little more creative from the terraces, so here goes.

Remember the old tune of 'Tott-enham-boys, la-la-la, Tott-enham-boys, la-la-la', fits lovely with our new hero come goal machine 'Di-mi-tar Ber-ba-tov, Di-mi-tar Ber-ba-tov'.

And on the subject of which, I think we can do allot better than 'Jermain Defoe he's a yiddo', 'One Arron Lennon, One Michael Dawson' and so on. To me Zakora's one is unique, and sounds brilliant when turn the volume up. So I've also had a go at one for another of Tottenhams better signings. To the tune of 'West Ham's our feeder club', How about 'Pascal Chimbonda, Pascal Chimbonda' fits well to me.

Unfortunatley I'm not in an Influentiel part of the stadium, so I'm calling out to my fellow faithfull to carry this message forward, and give our boys something to inspire their every move. Come On You Spurs!

Most long winded songs seem to die down by the end of the tune............ We want short sharp punchy songs about all of our favourite players so we can make them all feel like Robbo does !!! White Hart Lane when its pumping has in my opiion one of th best atmospheres in the country but we do like our same old songs ....! e.g We are tottenham Come on you Spurs etc. All classics and get my heart going but if i was a spurs player I would expect a bit more love !!!

F**k the song, how about some movie tie-ins? Weekend at Berby's, Berby Goes Bananas, Chimmy Chimmy Bang Bang... I also think as a song for Zokora, we should adapt Shakira and Wyclef's recent Number One duet 'Hips Don't Lie', and just chant loudly in a trembly, husky black accent "ZOKORA ZOKORA" every time he gets the ball. He'll appreciate that. My contribution to this debate has been sweet but, I feel, worthwhile.

Theres been some great stuff come through, but like yidskin says, the long winded ones die out. Short and sharp for me, I think the oh dimi, dimi (sherigham) one is over used, and old hat. and DPAC couldn't agree more, ledders needs his own one not, off the back of Judas. I also agree that we do have one of the best singing fan bases, you watch us on the box virtually anywhere, and you'd think we were at home. cloud4197 i think yours was top draw, bottom line we should try and get behind ALL of our players when we can indiviually, and as a team. I've never seen a player get better when he's booed or moaned at by his own supporters, but confidence by contrast, can make a huge difference. 2-1 to us at the Emirates. CCCCCOOOOOYYYYSSSSSS!!
