Robben denies Spurs link.
According To the father of Arjen Robben, Spurs can cross the player off of their wish list and he intends to stay and fight for his place at the Santiago Bernabeu, next season.
With the massive, expenditure already at Madrid, it is inevitable that players will have to be sold to balance the books, with Robben amongst the games linked with a move away alongside half of his Dutch team-mates, but according to the players father, who also represents him, he denied any reports linking his son with a move, telling Dutch paper Algemeen Dagblad:
'There are reports currently circulating on the internet that the agent of Arjen has confirmed there are talks with Spurs.
'But the only who is representing him is me and I don't know anything about it. At the moment we are not in action with any other team than Real Madrid.'
This may of course be Robben`s intention, but would his stance alter should Madrid accept an offer and make it crystal clear he has no future at the Spanish club? This doesn`t mean he would join Spurs, but it is easy to deny moves and pledge loyalty to your current club as this is the sensible political thing to do, at least until you have been officially told of their intentions.

from what i have heard from a reliable source in spain, robben will be going to bayern munich as part of the ribery deal, ribery has met with with zidane and wants the move. my friend in spain says spurs are only after ruud and sneijder, harry has stated to levy he wants van nistlerooy and at the price of over 1 million they will get a bargain, sneijder is priced in the region of 10 million spurs want a loan iniatilly but real want hard cash. once again this is just news passed on from a well connected friend in spain make of it what you like but it keeps us all glued to the sports news waiting for transfer news COYS!

as for the fixtures list...I really think that by the end of the first round we should be somewhere about the 3rd or 4th place if we hit the league flying starting with a win against the scousers......and finish 5th later on, unless the gunners screw up!

Robben would never consider joining Spurs. Never have I hated a Premier League player more than him (what a chating basta8d!), but I have to give credit where it's due. He's probably been the most important attacking player in the Real line-up in recent years and the arrogant tw4t would be massive for us. He'll never come though, mark my words. As for CYSPURS' comment "VDV is the cheaper and more reliable optiotn" LMFAO, what a load of rubbish, he's nowhere near Robben's class yet. Get serious! Having said all that, there aren't too many players in that list for sale who would not improve our 1st team - I'd take each and every one we can tempt, if there are any at all.

If Madrid were to give us permission to talk to the player i think Harry would be able to convince him and most players of the project were building at the lane. We will not get in tio four until we get proven international stars, and we don't get international stars until we're in top four. Only solution I see to the problem is signing players before they get big, and manage to keep them. Bale, Taraabt, Bostock, Giovani may all be players like that. But half of you want them away. I would gladly end in 10-15th two seasons in a row if this ment us trying to build a superteam. Lennon and Modric are already top four players, lets hope we get to keep them at least.

Of these, the only one likely to want to join us is Heinze, for a last hurrah at playing in the PL at 32. The other 2 are just pie in the sky, no chance, why would either come. Would the big boys stand aside and watch Robben or Huntelaar join Spurs, I think not. Incidently the same goes for Young, if there was a hint that Villa would sell then CL clubs would be in at £25M ish.

Not a clever comment Stelvis! Sorry, but you can't come out with Bent's blown his chance after he started 18 games and scored 17 goals, even if I do agree with the rest of your above post. His goals per time on the pitch ratio has been good for us, even in his 1st season it wasn't at all bad. If he were 1st choice he's guaranteed to score close to 25 a season. You may want rid, you may not like his style of play, you may not rate him, but don't make silly statements like that please. He's a proven Premier League goal scorer, this is an undisputable, varifyable FACT, not my subjective opinion! I ain't his biggest fan either, but blown it? Hardly!

Absolutely right wayne king, 13 league goals as against Pavyluchencos 5 in 28 games, and its Bent who most on here would get rid of. You couldnt make it up. Given a full season Bent will score 20 goals, its a given.

Spurs fans attitude to Darren Bent reminds me off Boltons attitude to Gary Megson. Overly criticised despite no doing a bad job. Bents a decent player, but its his workrate that really pleases me. However some Spurs fans will never rate him, they were against his signing in the first place (although 16m was pricey) and will always slate him. 13league goals despite being a sub half of the season is very impressive. GET OFF HIS BACK. Im by no means his biggest fan, i think he lacks many aspects to his allround game, but i wish the undeserved negativity towards Bent would stop.

There's no chance whatsoever he would consider signing for us at this stage of his career. We're without a doubt beneath him in his eyes and without self-loathing too much I can kind of see his point. Players of his ilk are entitled to expect to be at the very best clubs. He will only move to of Europe's best sides if he does leave. I think his father's comments are pretty unambiguous in this regard also. I agree with you 100% about his quality, but there's no chance of getting him. I'm 100% sure that any selling of Robben could only be political manouvering on the part of Perez in wanting to sign Ribery and make astatement by signing the world's 3 most highly rated players in 1 transfer window. Otherwise noone at Madrid would ever consider letting Robben leave now - he's a BIG playerfor them, but I guess they feel Ribery will be better (probably right I suppose, he's incredible).

This kind of thing has been going on for years, every summer we're supposedly trying to signed at least one of the top 10-15 players in the world but it never comes off and we end up with a "promising youngster" instead. Mark my words, Robben will not be at WHL next season.

Well Frank, before Mr.A came along, we qualified for the CL and we were clearly on our way up. Mr. A just helped that growth. You lot never seem to be on your way up. Hype it up in pre season and fight for relegation when the season starts! You cant deny it, too!

thing is bent is not suited at all to the rest of our squad or our philosophy. i agree that he will score goals here and wherever else he plays at but i know it sounds stupid but never the right way. end of the day football is meant to be entertaining and i dont like hoofing a long ball up to bent and hoping something comes of it. he never seems a threat to defenders although he has bin workin a bit harder towards then end of the season making runs. lacks intelligence and how many of his 13goals can u remember??? they were pretty much all scuffed shots, deflections, flukes. but yeah they all count
