Alnwick, returns to Spurs.
Ben Alnwick has returned early from his loan with Norwich, for attention to a hip injury sustained against Brentford in midweek.
It would appear that 22 year old Alnwick will be out of action for Six weeks, which would nearly take him to the end of his loan spell at Carrow Road, so both clubs felt it better for him to recover at White Hart lane.
New Norwich manager, Paul Lambert(pictured) said: "Ben's away back to Tottenham. He's injured for a spell so he's back there.
"His hip flexor is going to keep him out for a number of weeks so the best thing was for him to go back to Tottenham. He got it the other night in the game.
"If it's six weeks we only get him for another two weeks after that so that takes him up to the middle of October and his three-month period is virtually up then.
This is a shame for Ben, who was apparently performing well in league one and this was an ideal opportunity to perhaps put himself in the shop window, should as I feel likely Spurs look to move him on in the near future.

real shame for the lad as my second team is norwich and he was starting to do well hope he gets fit and comes back on another subject seems like harry has told ipswich to sod off in trying to resign gio (good). hope this means he will get some more playing time now cos i still think he can shine plus anything to stuff up ipswich

Wasn't he meant to be the next big goalkeeping 'thing' just a while back? Another failure for the old regime's youth policy?

how many next big things have we had now and haven,t made it. clearly past management and comoli and co just bought anyone with any kind of prospect , at least harry seems to be getting rid of some of these now and keeping or loaning out the REAL prospects he has a great track record in this.

Innispurs...more likely another example of us fans/the media (cant remember which in this example) hyping up a player beyond what he is really capable of.

Actually I recall him playing against ManU in the cup and making a pretty decent fist of it. Basically he has fallen away because he has not been given a genuine opportunity in competitive games. Signing a 36year old simply is an impediment to the likes of Button, Jansson and Alnwick.
