Coutinho - apparently.

Interesting article on a player we have supposedly signed: Able to play wide on either flank and behind the striker, Coutinho is blessed with incredible pace, skill and creativity.

Interested observers should look beyond the eye-catching dribbles and step-overs that pepper the highlights reels, and see the unexpected efficiency in his play. In netting seven goals over the past year he has taken just 40 shots, which stands comparison with almost any player. Often viewed as selfish, he has created 25 goal-scoring opportunities for his team-mates in the same period, while completing 77 per cent of his passes - mirroring the contribution of Liverpool's in-form striker Luis Suárez this term. Moving to a team such as Brendan Rodgers', with a desire to retain possession and constantly move the ball, would only improve that rate, while his accurate crossing would be a major asset in the Premier League.

Despite being just 5ft 7in, Coutinho has improved physically thanks to an intelligent training programme that took care not to harm his natural attributes and has left him much more difficult to dispossess. As such, he has conceded possession just 10 times this season. He has also proven to be adept at pressing defensively, winning 1.8 tackles and 1.4 interceptions per game during his time in La Liga. Those numbers dwarf similar players, with Carlos Tévez averaging 0.8 and 0.5 per game respectively, despite his reputation as a hard-working forward.

The Coutinho rumour is FAKE, it was a tweet by a Liverpool fan to see how fast it travelled and got picked up, it's a P#ss take and a good one at that.
Some bin dipper is laughing all the way to the nearest pub!
It would be a good buy for us so no doubt it isn't true.
Worth it for the picture at the top of the article though!

lol....dont they have enough problems of their own ledge
The only thing we are in for is a hard time until may
spu 4 life
We have supposedly signed, really??? lol
Wish I was...
at the very least its another great excuse to show the Brazilian Boobs
Thought I would post it, as we all too often take things too seriously, and as a talking point, why not???
Anyway, cant stay chatting on here, Ive got another article to publish; Nile Ranger to Spurs!!!
Surely its about time to update the brazilian boobs, that chick must be nearly seventy at this stage! If her picture was taken now there'd probably be a belly button between the star and the football!

Oxford sir you should know better, if it ain't on sky sports I'm not taking the rumour seriously. The type of player we desperately need though, creative with the ability to offer cover for bale and Lennon whilst improving the starting 11. Shame lol
Who's next? Or should I say Moutinwho? Give me a penny for every player we are signing and I'll be off to Bahamas and Uncle Joe's yacht!
Exceptional Oxford and slurms lols
Slightly off this subject, I see that Peter Odemwingie has handed in a transfer request, would he be worth a shout?
Ox - we're tight with our funds so whoever we sign needs to be an improvement. Odemwingie isn't!
Not an Odem whinger article!!!
Least Leroy Lita no longer available! Just leaves old&whingy and Jerome or Fuller!
Wilts Spurs
Clue was in the title - apparently. As OX says, nothing else to talk about and spurticus as we all know 'Sky sports' equally jump on rumours and get lots wrong. If we are just talking facts - shut the site down at mo :)
How much Would Odemwingie sell for ? He can score goals & if circa £3 million, why not.
Had all week to sort transfers with AVB. Now AVB must focus on beating Leeds and the away game with Norwich that we must win to keep on track in the league. Hope Levy has his list of players and sticks to it so in a weeks time we are buying new no.10 shirts with a decent name to go on the back.
Wilts Spurs
Rather have Hooper than odemwingie. Least Hooper may be good and if not can sell back to Scotland as he is younger. Think he may surprise some and be pretty good in the PL.
Wilts Spurs
Odemwingie?? are we really that desperate?
The transfer request was turned down anyway
Anyway - we all know that Levy hasn't even started yet - only 25/1 :) Agree Wilts - however, seems to much of a risk as according to press Hooper is circa £8million + and rumours suggest Odemwingie at £3million, so may be a more realistic buy, scores and pace. However, I would prefer we now only buy players for starting 11 and big statement of intent. However, unlikely sadly.
It really is the calm before the storm. Won't see any transfer action until at least Monday. Hope for a good cup performace to blow the cobwebs out and then sit back on Monday and enjoy the madness for the next four days! Where will spurs end up on the money spent list? What will our contribution to the Sky Sports News totalizer be? Surely we haven't maxed out at three million?

In the interest of gender equality Ox can we not have a naked torso of a man with a brazilian flag drapped around him or some such. Not my taste but lets not forget about the "pink" cockerel and the ladies either!

Some writers are desperate to see their name in lights.
The Cup game matters for planning purposes. If we are progresing and if it's an opponent that we should be able to beat, it will mean more games. It means you need more squad players. We have 18 more games. If we beat Leeds, it'll still be 18 more. If we beat Lyon, it will be 2 more to add to the total. We could still have 24-30 games left, depending on replays, success etc. But no fewer than 18 which would be 1 a week the rest of the way. Add internationals and more games for every FA Cup win and every Europa win and it could be pretty congested. Injuries always play a role. Everton is worst set up to deal with key injuries. Chelsea's schedule is the worst out there. All of the Europa guys have more travel next round than we do. Prepare for the worst. Hope for the best. Harry always did the latter. COYS
There is a striker who has handed in a transfer request and may become available, who would make a classic Levy transfer coup, he could be the second coming of Gregor Rasiak, I speak of course of Becchio of Leeds Utd. He would tick all the boxes i.e. cheap, not very good, 1 good game every 4 or 5, scores a few goals in the championship, in short a classic CV to attract our chairman. We wouldn't even have to go specially scouting him, he will be playing against us on Saturday, good opportunity to get talks underway.
The photo heading the article is very apt, our transfer window is 6 days off going tits up.
Very funny Frank. Med1 - glad you are on the site with such insightful contributions.
Coutinho is a massive talent, straight from the Nani/Hazard mould of tricky little wizards. Only very raw & very inconsistant. If he's going on the cheap then it could be a masterstroke as with guidence he could be a fabulous player.
Not even a nice pair of tits ,only thing the article had going for it -- Dunno Big C your here and we got frank x2 ( . )^( . )
spu 4 life
LOL Joking guys.

Playing Saturday and Sunday Frank, I rest my case !!!!
spu 4 life
Spu 4 life, fair cop, Sunday.
Just read an ITK from a very reliable source on Twitter apparently Spurs have put in a bid of 9.5million for Coutinho and its been accepted!
Slurms McKenzie
we need a stricker even on loan failing to do so an failing to get CL will hit us big time.
Heading to Liverpool for a medical early next week
