Bentley, Jenas, Townsend, Hudd and maybe a few more out! But Who in?
According to some, buying or not buying a new striker will define our season. Perhaps that will prove correct, but today will certainly define how we perceive this months transfer activity and perhaps also allow us to review the direction of AVB and ambition of Mr Levy and whether we really can achieve another top four place.
Of course we shouldn't discount what other clubs do and as a result how this will possibly affect ours and others seasons. We could be quite happy with our spending, but if Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool or Everton buy and sell better, and we back to the drawing board before out players have been paraded in their new shirts..

Holtby and Adebayor, as i said yesterday will turn out to be a good pairing....
still want a 'Big Gun' signing....
http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11095/8457757/?
we live in hope..
"The Brazil international enjoyed a stellar start to life with Spurs and was their Player of the Year in the 2009/2010 season, when the club qualified for the Champions League for the first time in their history."
I am being thick or didn't Gomes throw the ball in his own time for the first 6 months?
We don't need any more strikers. We have Dempsey and Siggurdson to play as strikers and, anyway, we can do without any strikers and play the small-gauge model-railroad formation. Oh, and lest I forget, we've got two world-class outstanding forwards in Defoe and Adebayor (at least some of the time). DL may yet disappoint us and sign some unworthy fellow such as Damião or Negredo, and if he does, off with his head.
I heard from some ITK that we're about to sign Messi for 20 quid. (ITK stands for Idiotic Total Knobhead, by the way.)
I'll start tuning in about 7pm GMT to follow the rumours over the last five hours of the window. It's at times like this that I miss the theatre of Harry the Absurd at his car window.
Cheers!
David Beckahm replied " NO i`m not worried ,Victoria will adapt to her new surroundings well "

I am no Harry lover but, credit to the owner backing his man.
In transfer windows you have the equivalent ,,"Levy Time "
RE: Tom Huddlestone
Tom Huddlestone has been loaned out for competition for places on the popular USA programme ` Man Versus Food `
The guy who does that is a Spurs supporter (true fact ) & is now worried he will lose ,but welcomes the competition .
Why would Bently go to QPR? Harry basically ruined his career !
Cannot see any signings ! Live in hope though.. COYS
A club with a small fanbase & small stadium should not be spending like that .FFP rules are a joke
Peter makes to me, Harry wants them, so its more than like them he will play them rather than AVB, as its seems he don't rate them.
Just heard Pritchard has gone on loan to Peterborough.
I`ve backed Levy all the way but the last 4-5 windows have been poor .He`s got 6 hours but this could be the straw that breaks the camels back .
Not about levy doubters winning ,or pro Levy losing ,but faith has been lost .Maybe the time has come to stop dreaming & get realistic ,as it stands this squad will NOT get 4th ,hindsight will not be required on this one .
,br>C`mon Levy , it`s going to start falling at your door
I`m all for him coming but how did we allow ourselves to get so desperate ?
LEANDRO IS NOT COMING
"project " for another 10 bull$hit years
Whoopee Dooo , celebration time c`mon
,br>What position have Spurs been at this time in the last 3 years ?
Who wants 3 second half season collapses in a row ? the signs are there .This is even worse than buying Saha & nelson ,i didn`t think that would be possible .
Very surprised Spurs haven`t moved today ,they needed to .Major Difference between what you want & what you need .
With all respect we`ve only played one really good side in the last 8 games ,the real test are coming up ,& Spurs are not prepared
what a cock tease this is
SSN reckon we have a chance on DAMAIO....
still dont know how i did it... COYS
you are welcome to comment...lol
I really hope we get someone in even if it isn't a top player we need alternatives up front.
I liked what I saw last night with Holtby made a huge difference, he was full of energy and urgency.
Got yourself Adblock plus yet ? (google chrome )
Yeah i`m a sucker ,Leandro to Spurs is gathering momentum :) so they say .
I don`t even know if he`s even that good .:P
Pritchard extended, so I am quite happy. Those that run the club are protecting the assets that we have. Awesome job and he goes on loan where he will play. Pritchard, you earned it. COYS
"Anyone" would shake up Defoe and Adebayor. Only if they score, and if they do they will play. Holtby looked comfortable. Guess that means 4-5-1 is likely. To me, that means Defoe has a few weeks. After that it's Ade or Dempsey. COYS
Bets flooding in now for Leandro Damiao to leave Internacianal amid talks of a deal being done with Tottenham, prompting his price of a deadline day move to be cut to 5/4.
Sky, i.e. Sky Bet are suggesting the above. Seems a desperation attempt to get their books balanced. Reverse psychology and all that....
Thought the same with Paddypower ,they`ve gone to 1 :3 for leandro to Spurs

Moutinho all over again ...once bitten twice shy
I wasn't even expecting anything to happen really, but how we've managed to go this long without really attempting to bring in more firepower is beyond me. January should be a time for clubs to make tweaks and improvements to the squad to either consolidate or push forward. This complete lack of ambition sends a clear message to someone like Gareth Bale (and previously Luka Modric) that there isn't really much point in staying. Maybe I'm being dramatic, but it really does feel like we only sign players when we're in the s**t.
,br>Levy time
There is always a back-up plan. ASt some point the back-up plan becomes wait and address it later. If Gomes and Jenas are gone (even if on loan), Pritchard has been extended, Holtby and Fryers signed, it's been fairly productive for the future. Here and now could be better. I still feel that this squad has enough in them to get top 4. It'll take fortune and winning a few we don't deserve, but such is life. COYS
In the absence of NECESSARY signing, I will only assume that the targets set for AVB this season do not include CL football and that he is being assessed on some other Levy non-footy criteria. Hope Levy surprises everyone, but window after window, it’s same old same old. Levy probably thinks he is smart.....but he has been sussed and no one wants to play his game. Sooner or later he will realise this and it may be too late!
levy you a (unt not ***** off & get a director of football who knows what he is doing .
Levy is man who has bitten off more than he can chew .He does enough good ,but the footballing side needs to be left to others .
We need a DOF imo
SSN Say that inter rejected our bid not because the sum was too low, they just did not want to sell at this time, nothing levy can do about that.
Do you think this squad can keep 4th ?
I wanted a striker because i don`t think it can .Last 8 games only one top team we have played .We have some major games coming up & hindsight will (again ) be no good come end of May .
Even QPR look better than us now in some positions ,embarrassing when you get shown up by Harry "not my money " Redknapp
Critical_Spur, you are correct, Levy doesn't say much. AVB's predecessor could never stop talking. Where has Harry ever suggested that money was not available to him? He stated his scouts didn't think Suarez was a fit. Fact is, in taking the job, AVB knew, as did Harry, as did Ramos, as did Jol, that there was a budget that needed to be adhered to. It's a fact of being the coach of Tottenham. At least he is not having players foisted upon him he doesn't want and we are extending and protecting the assets we do have. COYS
I don`t give 2 $hits if we buy leandro or not ,but surely the world is filled with strikers who know where the back of the net is for a fair price .
Buy smart not Big .Seriously in 3 years Spurs can`t Scout any decent strikers ? do we have scouts ? Too many have come & gone to other clubs .Newcastle seem to be doing alright ,would take BA & Cisse in a flash .
Saying that im over the moon we have shifted jenas, also see simon dawkins on loan at villa.
Interesting what ssn say about how Levy works they say he knows what he is doing.
I guess we only have forty minutes before we are put out of our misery.
I have put the names Son, Arnautovic, Castaignos, Mitroglou and others out there. I like all of them for my own reasons. I understand all of them could be got. AVB and Levy have more info than I do. If they don't want them, that is their choice. I have been banging on about Castaignos since he was 17. I would still buy him. Just because I want to does not mean that they do. We liked Oscar, but 25M? City, Chelsea, PSG, Anzhi and others make a mockery of the system and drive prices through the roof. Remy feels entitled to large wages. For what? He has been poor this year and has not proven anything. 20 year olds on 70k/week. It's insane. Harry lamented the fact, but his new owner, just like Pompey and West Ham, has splashed the cash. The salaries must be huge. No matter. Harry will say, the owner signs them, not me. IMO Levy is accountable and responsible. If Spurs fortunes take a tumble, so do his. COYS
Saving quite a few pounds, in the short term.
A calculated risk. Dare I suggest, a short sighted policy? Champions League football would guarantee a vast increase in income. It would also greatly enhance the chances of top players like Bale staying on for the adventure.
Never even heard of this guy.
Remember several years ago when Derby County were really struggling? The clll then was, "Cox out!" :0)
Well, you have to at least try to smile
Got some news for the Levy fans who tell those of us wanting better for our club to go support City or Chelsea. It might be an idea if you took your support to a mid table club with no ambition because that's what you're backing when you defend Levys policies on the playing side. Jeez I even saw someone yesterday calling for Odemwinge (what a class act that lad is eh?).
Our owners are a disgrace, the more they do nothing, the more I'm starting to believe that they will sell our best players and sell up before building a stadium. They will of course also own plenty of prime real estate in N17 and Chigwell, Levy is after all is said and done. A Land Economist, not an accountant, not a football man, not a true negotiator, just a Land Economist. Be afraid, be very afraid.
