Can't argue with his view. 4 points away from home. My big worry is our lack of goals hopefully Holtby will help us on this. The defence, apart from Walker, have been performing well. I only saw the MOTD highlights but 3 times, in the beginning of them, he played WBA onside by his positioning. I know he's young and hopefully will learn.

Shame Defoe is injured but still a good win Ade will be back for next prem game I think and with Bale who has now found a new role in the team I believe AVB when he says we have enough in the squad. Also AVB deserves a lot of credit hes still learning and is going to make the odd mistake but this guy I strongly beleive can lead us to silverware and be a world class manager given time.

Not so sure it is a shame about Defoe- he seems to be a half-season player any way. Hopefully he'll rest & give time to add qualities to his one dimensional play. And have him back for March and April firing. I do hope ADE comes back firing but I don't remain hopeful- which leaves Bale and Dempsey with Holt and Lennon being main providers.

All wins are important especially from now until May, but how many times can we rely on a bloke getting himself sent off, transforming a stuck on 0-0 draw into an away win, secured by a world class individual goal yet again from Gareth Bale. We are going to run out of good fortune, or Bale will have a bad patch or get injured, what happens then. We are not winning convincingly, not dominating teams either home or away, this was only our 2nd win since the turn of the year. Yes we are currently 4th with a 3 point cushion on Everton, and 4 on Arsenal, so we must continue winning, and winning well as GD may yet be critical with Arsenal.

Frank - Its not about how you win, its about how many you win, that's what league football is all about. Man U have won the titles they have under Ferguson primarily because they have always had the ability to grind out results even when they weren't playing well. The old Liverpool teams were the same. This season no one except United has been consistent. The teams that drop the fewest points will make the champions league not the teams that play the best football.

One thing that is apparent is that as well as looking like a good manager, AVB is also a lucky manager, we have had at least our share of "the rub of the green" this season, long may it continue, it is more than welcome. I have for years subscribed to the view that there was a "gypsies curse" or something on us and WHL, but perhaps AVB has lifted it. At least we are at last getting a fair crack (having said that a penalty now and again would come in handy, it don't do "Red nose" any harm).
