Why is everybody blaming AVB for not buying a striker this window. It was down to Mr. Levy or higher that we didn't buy. As I have already said, they are not going to splash out on anyone up front until AVB has proven himself to them. He is carrying the can and playing the game to take the heat off those above him. THAT is how business works, and in case you have all forgotten THAT is what football has become these days for EVERY club, a BUSINESS.

Can anyone tell me WHY we don't have any updates on our new stadium since 2011 which is TWO years from now? According to Wiki NDProject was planned to be completed in 2012/2013. We all knew how it all worked out. But. What is the current situation, what's going on if anything? Why are we all kept in the dark?

Moscovite..... if you go on the official website. www.tottenhamhotspur.com there is a section at the bottom of the page titled The Stadium. It gives you the latest info..lol. Most recent is Feb 2012 abiout Sainsbury getting the supermarket and before that in Dec 2011 giving reasons why. IE alterations to the original planning application. Not very helpful I'm afraid.

Moscovite, we are talking Levy here, probably thinks you can get it built overnight. Expect work to start July 31st this year.

Re the "new stadium" the latest up dated completion date is 2018, no doubt subject to further revue at some time in the future, so 2020 would come as no surprise. By then the alleged 30,000 or so on the waiting list may have lost interest, got sick of waiting, or sadly have expired. Mind you it will only have been 20yearsish since it was stated as being a "priority", thank God that this meant it was urgent, or Christ's knows when it would have been built. I would think the Egyptians could have built the great pyramid as quick.

Regarding our striker situation, irrespective of whose fault it was, and depending on who you believe, it is still obvious that failing to add a striker, even on loan until the end of the season, was a massive gamble that has predictably back fired. We were always either an injury, or an Adebayor tantrum (not exactly unusual, or unexpected, given his track record) from a crisis. Only time will tell if we can weather it, and maintain our 3rd/4th challenge. If we fail, hopefully key questions will be asked.
