i don't mean to be a party pooper or a stick in the mud but i am getting concerned that bale is being over-hyped once again.he's had a good run of games but to compare him to ronaldo and messi is a going a little too far.this hype happened before when he had a couple of amazing games against the milan teams.after that premiership teams doubled up on him and he was virtually canceled out of games.i remember a certain game against everton after the milan outings when phil neville had bale in his back pocket.......don't get me wrong i love Gareth bale.i think that he has the potential to be a TRULY great player,(the right temperament, demeanor etc), and i'm glad hes cut out the "gamesmanship",but give him a chance to grow and produce this form on a much more regular basis.week in week out, every season.he's good now.in two years time if things carry on like this for him he will be great!greatness isn't achieved in 1 season or 5 or 6 games......sorry to offend anyone just trying to keep some sort of prospective on this bale madness.

Of course he will improve, a player of his age, with his attitude, commitment, and his level of natural talent and ability, is bound to improve, it is inevitable. Of course it is unhelpful at the moment, to compare him to Messi and Ronaldo, they are both at a different stage in their career. One thing I would say is that Ronaldo proved his ability in the EPL, a different kettle of fish to La Liga, where there is more space, less physicality, and far better protection for ball players and entertainers from referees, and the weather conditions in which they play are so different. Messi on the other hand, and I am one of his greatest admirers, has never done likewise and until he does, and it will never happen, there will always be that small doubt as to whether he would hack it in the EPL. I think that given another couple of seasons at Spurs, and then regrettably a move to a top top club, Gareth Bale will develop into a player that will deserve to be talked of in the same breath as the best players in the world.

He still needs to work on delivering crosses that give a forward a chance o attacking. He still needs to work on his corners and free kicks. He still needs to learn to beat the irst defender and draw in the second one before he delivers a cross. He still needs to work on his bakside pressure. All of these are much more subtle and require much more work. He is progressing. There is still a ways to go, IMO. If we can find a couple of dynamic wingers and a striker, he could be playing anywhere across the top. He still has loads of potential. COYS

So will Holtby and many others playing for us. Wish everybody would focus on the team.
