Tottenham Hotspur Vs. Fulham.

Its official! we have the worst defensive record in the Premiership. We have now conceded 18 GOALS this season through defensive errors, the only teams that come close to our total is Southampton at 11 and Norwich at 10. Even the Gooners have 10 errors that led to a goal against them.

We started the season with conceding just 2 goals in 10 matches then Newcastle won at WHL and we arrived at Citeh and the wheels fell off our wagon and we have been bumping along the ground ever since.

There is an old joke; the Inflatable Chairman talking to the Inflatable Manager in front of the Inflatable Football club who says; "you have let me down and you have let yourself down, but, most of all, you have let your club down"! Well the excuses may come but the credibility of Mr Daniel Levy with the locals here in North 17 is lower than the credibility of our defence.

We are once again going into a new season with limited resources because the £108m that we spent last summer has not produced the goods and we dont have the money now to buy anyone of any note to fill the skill gaps that we have in the squad. The cost of the Northumberland is going to limit our spending power, unless we have a mass exodus of players, in which case Levy will make replacements but he probably wont be prepared to exceed the balance sheet.

If the Gooners finish 5th and win the FA Cup we could still end up in the Europa even if we do come 6th and that will be an added strain on players. Given the injuries we have had since September last year its difficult to know if we have the strength in depth to hold down a credible European challenge.

On balance you have to look at Liverpool and think that, without European committments, they were able to mount a challenge for the Premiership and maybe a season without Europa would give Spurs the chance to re-group. Unfortunatley, we will also have 3 season`s of being nomads with Wembley, Upton Park and maybe even Milton Keynes as home venues whilst the Northumberland Park Stadium is built.

Fulham could not win a raffle let alone a match until Magath took over two months ago and he is getting the results he needs to get them out of jail. Given that the God of Freak results is now making an appearance; Palace have beaten Everton at Goodison and Sunderland draw with Citeh, go figure? So brace yourselves for what may come at WHL.

Apparently, Magath has always been a bit of a disciplinarian and he orders his players to report in at the club`s training ground in time for breakfast. They all eat together at lunch time as well. Not bad for a club who have used 41 different players in the first team this season! No bacon butties anymore, muesli and prune juice by the sounds of things, must make the pre match huddle interesting!
Rodallega is their new Messiah having spread himself out on the pitch after scoring two goals in two matches! Fulham need 7 more points to stay up and you can bet that Spurs will be on their hit list after the Sunderland/Crystal Palace result mid-week.

Our dwindling Tim confirmed that Spurs are without Erik Lamela who will miss the rest of the season. Kyle Walker, Jan Vertonghen, and Etienne Capoue are all long-term injury concerns. Roberto Soldado and Jan Vertonghen also look set to miss out but Dembele may be in with a shout. For Fulham Lewis Holtby is ineligible for the game, while Cauley Woodrow faces a fitness test. Damien Duff and Kostas Mitroglou are also out for the Cottagers.

Rodeallega will miss Holtby who has been a good engine for Fulham and one player we could have done with in hind sight. However, Kaboul feels he is returning to his best, maybe not error free,  but at least fit and looking forward to next seasons campaign...at Arsenal apparently!.......aren`t we all Younes,  aren`t we all mate! Touch of the Sol Campbell`s rather than the Ledley King`s for our Younes!

Spurs have lost just two Premier League games when Eriksen has started on the left or in central midfield and he is the one bright spots in what has been a really dull campaign.

It is down to who wants it most Fulham or Spurs. Everton have some tricky games coming up with Manure at Goodison on Sunday, Southampton away and Citeh at Goodison which is perhaps slightly tougher than the Gooners run in and we all know how a 6 point lead can soon evaporate, in fact Spurs are magic at making points disappear!

The Gooners have a dress rehearsal for the FA Cup this weekend with Hull and I would love to see Stevie B turn them over at the KC and at Wembley. The best we can now do is 72 points and that does not like enough now to get 5th so we might as well end the season as we started it and get some points and not let anymore in.
