ITK: Five Things We've Learned This Week

I can honestly say, with my hand on heart that this article headline is factually correct.

How many times, when clicking on Newsnow Spurs link articles do you see the dreaded ITK letters? I for one generally look at where the site story originates before deciding whether to click or stay away...it was as if the source was able to transmit leprosy over the internet. I hope you, yes you dear reader do something similar. I mean who wants to catch the dreaded Interweb lurgy?

Five Things We've Learned This Week

Harry Winks Named In England U21 Squad

Many media hacks said Mr Winks could and probably would play for Spain's U21 side. WRONG! Well done, Harry, keep playing like you have been and we'll see you in the main England squad, probably as early as next year.

Spurs Players Named In England Squad

Yesterday, England manager Gareth Southgate named his squad to play Germany and Lithuania next week and in doing so named Kyle Walker, Dele Alli and Eric Dier in his 26-man squad. Rooney was dropped, and quite rightly so while a certain Jermain Defoe returned into the fold. Did anyone see that one coming?

Harry Kane Injury Update

Tottenham confirmed that Kane suffered 'ligament damage' during the FA Cup quarter-final win over Millwall and that following further assessment the club confirmed that Harry sustained ligament damage to his right ankle.

Latest reports suggest Kane will be out for around four to six weeks. Meaning he could be available for the home game on Saturday 15 April against Bournemouth.

FA Cup Semi-Final Allocation

Spurs take on Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley on Saturday 22 April with a 5:15pm kick off. The game will be shown live within the UK on BBC One.

Spurs are expected to receive 32,000 tickets for the 90,000 capacity ground - as are Chelsea.

Brent Council Advice Local Authority To Approve Extra Wembley Capacity

Tottenham's bid to stage all home games in front of a full house at Wembley next season moved a step closer as local councillors were advised to grant a key planning application.

As promised, all the above are factual and ITK.

Can we continue our winning streak at the Lane against Southampton on Sunday? I dunno, I'll ask Grandma Gladys.
