Have Belief On Any Pitch

Have Belief On Any Pitch

Vital Spurs member, Kentspur1954 sent us the following:

It was Martin Luther King who said 'I have a dream' and it was Mauricio Pochettino that said 'we must dream' and how right our gaffer is, as without dreaming nothing can become a reality.

We have proved beyond doubt that we have turned the corner in our development and after 55 years of following the Spurs I now have the feeling that it was all worthwhile.

Spurs have really raised the bar with much of our progress due to Mauricio, (fact) but let's not forget about Daniel. His input, which is seldom appreciated has been fantastic and it is the bond between the manager and chairman that created the synergy for us to move forward.

We should now start to set our sights on becoming as consistent as some of best teams in Europe - yes we have surpassed the team who play in red from Woolwich but we have a lot more in our locker.

Much of our progress has also taken place of the pitch and Spurs supporters should pat themselves on the back as we have given the boys that extra belief. As for the Wembley myth...I am a firm believer that we will excel at the 90,000 ground - it's not the pitch or the stadium it's the boys on the field that make the difference.

I was at the Gent match a few months ago and I thought we looked really comfortable, yes a few moments of lack of concentration but we were the better side...let's take the belief that we have in our Premier League games and use it on the pitch, ANY pitch, anywhere.

Yep .... A 2nd place finish, record points total, Cup final, and give Arsenal a view of our backside, and I'll be happy for this season!

I was thinking of Levys' input reading the 2nd Paragraph and then you went and mentioned him. Good post. Wembley, who knows? There's a size contrast between it and WHL and that can affect tactics. The opposition are also probably more naturally motivated so it'll be a tough test. I'm reasonably confident. Agree Geof, it's been a very good season.
