Thank Vic for that.

Thank Vic for that.

It must be Xmas!

Victor Wanyama took part in training today.

He has not played since August because of a knee injury and in recent weeks has been training outdoors on his own as part of his rehab.

Today, he joined in for awhile, the first really positive sign that he could soon be back, that said, I expect Poch will be careful and build him up slowly and re-introduce him gradually

I'd be surprised if he plays any major role in the manic Xmas period, but it would be great to see him get some minutes and start playing his way back into match fitness and form.

I think he has been badly missed, and if we are to challenge for a Top 4 spot and to make a decent go of our Champions league draw against Juve - I'd want to see Victor back in the thick of it.

Whisper it softly, but we may soon be back to full strength.

When we are, it will give Poch a nice headache to have again. Which simply leaves Poch to show us what he thinks his best starting 11 is ?!

Anyone know?

As long as we are playing twice a week extra players are not a headache, they are an opportunity. To take it we need to rotate intelligently.

I think Dier is consistency personified.

Wanyama has definitely been missed. Of course he has but thank goodness for the reliable all-rounder that is Eric Dier. ... He's like the very useful and practical machine oil known as 3-in-1. He is Spurs' very own, 3-in-1 footballer (DM, Full-Back, CB), and we are lucky to have him. Even better for Spurs, is when we also have Victor back in the ranks.

My team, If and when all are fighting fit

Lloris; Aurier/Trippier Toby Sanchez Jan Rose/Davies; Dier Wanyama. Eriksen Alli; Kane.

Bench: Vorm any 1 of 4 backs/wing-backs Foyth Dembele Lamela Winks Son. (Llorente Sissoko, K W-P and N'Koudou, all in waiting). If playing with just 2 CB's, then Son or Lamela also start.

All to be rotated, as and when it's appropriate and according to fitness and form etc..

without the athleticism and recovery-pace of both Walker and Rose, its better to opt for the security of 2 DMs and 4 attackers in front. also its a way to incorporate the redhot Son into the team. the wide spaces of Wembley may also detract from a 3-4-3 as the outside forwards have to cover more space to help defend the flanks when outta possession. will be intriguing to see if 3-4-3 is chosen when all the CBs are available.
