Random quote: "The freat fallacy is that the game is first and last about winning. It's nothing of the kind. The game is about glory. It's about doing things in style, with a flourish, about going out and beating the other lot, not waiting for them to die of boredom." - Danny Blanchflower, 1972.

We've had our disagreements in the past SG, funnily enough concerning Bent HA HA HA! But this time your spot on. :)

everyone in the ground could see corluka shouldnt have gone for the header back gomes should have shouted to clear it.

he didnt ge the ball on the first one so he faked another injury like he always does, the stretcher was out and everything.

the second one was a stonewall penalty it doesnt matter if bent was going down before or not. but it was no red card because bents touch was heavy and took him wide.

sorry gus, you've lost your marbles over this one - Charlie was heading it back before gomes could react or shout or call him anything but ****!

And gomes used his head when he was 'injured' they were in the ascendency; and he knew we needed time to organise and get ourselves under control, it's an oft used continental tactic and one that goalkeepers are taught to do in Europe - so all in all it may well have been a deliberate smart move.

As for the second one, if he hadn't come out bent would have buried it - Bent was lucky get the penalty and not a yellow card..
