If we win nothing yet again this season which seems odds on, why are we 'all' so excited about signing players like Zaha and Barkley ?

We surely need to improve our best 11 to win something, who are clowns like this better than in our first team ?

While I agree that we should sign players that can improve our 11, when everyone is fit we have one of the best lineups around.

The problem starts when someone gets injured or goes missing for a few weeks. While last year this issue seemed to be solely on the offensive front(and Dembo), this season we seem to lack proper backups in the CB positions as toby is irreplaceable and Wimmer fell out of grace.

I made my view on Barkley clear on this thread, so I wont bore you again, I'll just say he is at least good enough to break into our 11, or offer us genuine class when coming off the bench.

I like the looks of Keane from Burnley, young player with plenty of experience who can play either LCB/RCB, good with his feet and very physical.

That would sort our backline.
