Quite unbelievable how much possession we have vs lower level teams.

We were on the ropes until Kane's injury and substitution. Suddenly Dele scores and the 2nd half we came into it much more. The crossing by our full-backs needs big improvement at the moment but atleast the right 2 were on the pitch I would argue. Match practise should hopefully see them match the other 2 in terms of crossing as in that can't really fault Trippier and Davies very much. Need to find a way to incorporate Lamela and Moura as Lamela made a difference immediately and is our 1st line of defence when losing the ball as is always pressing. I guess rotation but we need to see more of Lamela and Moura. Also be interesting to see what happens when Toby is back fit and how he gets in with the Rock now in place.

EL Jefe, I thought Rose was way off the pace yesterday, defending and going forward. At the moment, Davies is the main man for a good reason. Davies has shown that he is more than capable of filling Danny's boots. Whereas Danny has looked like he needs new boots. Ones that fit better... Rose is a great player but at the moment, he is not showing it, IMO... I see in the poll that Son is way ahead in the MotM votes. I'll not be voting but my player of the match has to go to Eriksen. Once again he was everywhere from defence to being involved in every forward move. He made us tick. He chased back, got stuck in and always seemed unflustered and perfectly cool on the ball. spraying passes and through balls, here there and everywhere, evading tackles, making tackles. I swear there was at least two of him on the pitch...

So impressed with Son. He is rapidly becoming my favourite Spurs player. Great enthusiasm, tremendous energy, two good feet, team player, fabulous, infectious personality, good goalscorer, loves the game and his family of supporters, great for the team and Spurs fans. Just love the guy. If Harry is out for a while, Son will step up and keep us in the running. He MUST play instead of the statue. " Nice one sonny, nice one Son."

HT - Eriksen was quality - Son gets all the plaudits for bagging another brace but Eriksen's workrate was fantastic - epitomy being there was one where he chased all the way back and shielded it out for a goal-kick.

How do you rest (ie leave out) Kane and Alli apart from early stages of Cup competition's and then how do you replace them if they are injured, tired or jaded?! We actually may have pulled it off twice with Janssen and Llorente with regards to Kane but it's still a massive problem because how do they get match fit and sharp when not regularly in the team?! Janssen was brilliant in the Dutch league all be it for only a season but then we got him for only £17m which if it paid off/pays off would be one of the best bargain's ever. Llorente had a quality season at Swansea before he made the move and was already more than proven anyway. The answer has to come from these 2 and from the midfield with Son, Lamela, Moura, Eriksen, Dembele and Sissoko showing up with more goal's. Son's more than doing his bit and so is Eriksen on avg but we need more to lay off Kane and the other 2 suitors. We cannot keep signing a new striker every Summer to play 2nd fiddle - it's time to go with what we have. Another problem is it's either Janssen or Llorente as foreign placings are full with 1 of them as Dier is actually regarded as a foreigner for this rule. Quality service last time out saw Llorente bag a hat-trick. We now have Lamela back, Moura in, Sonny perfectly bedded in, etc and this should see lot's of new opportunities and assists that were missing. Fair play Kane had to be assisted from somewhere but I still feel we already have the answer and just need to tweak it to have good cover for Kane and Alli. For Alli - Eriksen and Lamela can play in his position if needs be and what a quality pair to have for that position if needed.
